Accor launches creator academy as brands build their own talent pipelines

Accor has launched a creator academy in Australia, as brands move beyond influencer partnerships and begin building their own pipelines of trained content creators.
The ALL Accor Creator Academy will provide emerging travel creators with training, mentorship and access to the hotel group’s global network, in what the company describes as an industry-first initiative.
Launching in Australia before expanding across APAC and the Middle East later this year, the programme is designed to equip creators with the skills needed to meet growing demand for professional, brand-ready content.
The move reflects a broader shift in travel marketing, as discovery increasingly takes place on social platforms well before consumers begin planning a trip.
Rather than focusing on follower growth, the academy will train participants in storytelling, filming techniques and brand collaboration, with a curriculum built around real-world briefs and commercial expectations.
The programme runs over three to five weeks and will culminate in a live content brief delivered at participating Accor properties, including locations in Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast.

Accor said the initiative is also designed to address a growing gap between demand for content and the quality of creator output, with industry data showing a large proportion of user-generated content failing to meet brand standards.
Jessica Baider, manager of influencers and content creators at Accor across the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, said the role of creators in travel marketing continues to expand.
“Creators are playing an increasingly important role in how people discover and experience travel,” she said.
“As brands automate more content, the value of authentic human storytelling is only increasing, and we’re thrilled to be the first hotel group to invest in a trained creator pipeline.”
Graduates of the programme will gain access to future campaigns, brand partnerships and a global network of opportunities across Accor’s portfolio.
The academy is free to join, with applications for the first intake open until 17 May.
