Accenture Song has appointed Nick Thomas as principal director, commercial investment and operations, adding further senior firepower to its media leadership team as the business accelerates its push to reinvent media across Australia and New Zealand.
In the newly created role, Thomas will oversee media trading, operations and technology infrastructure, with a remit to drive innovation, efficiency and scalability across Accenture Song’s media services. He joins the leadership bench led by Melissa Fein, Sam Geer and Chris Colter.
Thomas was most recently head of national sales for Amazon Ads ANZ, where he oversaw one of the world’s largest advertising platforms. His career spans more than 15 years in trading, planning, buying and commercial leadership, working with global brands in categories including banking, automotive, FMCG, entertainment and government.
“Accenture Song’s media services team is redefining what this capability looks like in the age of AI,” said Thomas. “I’m excited to join a team with such bold ambition, exceptional talent, and a clear mission to create transformative outcomes for clients.”
Melissa Fein, managing director of media at Accenture Song APAC, said Thomas’ appointment strengthens the agency’s investment and commercial expertise.
“Nick is a powerhouse in the Australian media industry – a leader with the strategic vision, commercial acumen and ability to energise teams, which will be pivotal as we accelerate the growth of Accenture Song’s media capabilities. His expertise in investment, commercial strategy and technology transformation will be a huge asset to our clients and our people.”
