Pavilion KL ushers in Year of the Dragon with roaring 3D anamorphic show

In celebration of Chinese New Year, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur has unveiled a 3D anamorphic show of a Golden Dragon across two giant LED screens between Pavilion Elite and fahrenheit88.
The ad is a 10-minute anamorphic show that showcases a rabbit attempting to open a scroll and almost falling off the screen on Pavilion. However, a golden dragon appears from behind it and saves it.
The two animals later chase after each other, with the rabbit running over to the screen on fahrenheit88. The rabbit later teases the golden dragon with the scroll.

In response, the golden dragon offers a carrot in exchange for the scroll. The two characters throw the items across the screens to each other.
The dragon then excitedly dashes across both screens and hops outside of the screen at Pavilion. At the end of the show, the scroll opens up to reveal a wish that reads "Wishing you prosperity, luck and happiness."
“Festive celebrations continue to be a major highlight for Pavilion KL - our key role is to innovate new ways to enhance the vibrant shopping experience and dynamism of Bukit Bintang as Malaysia’s premier shopping district," said Kung Suan Ai, director of marketing, Pavilion KL.
"We usher the Year of the Dragon with the Mall’s ‘Dragon Dynasty’ themed decor, complemented by a 3D anamorphic show that inspires more consumer excitement."
The 3D anamorphic show was spearheaded by Brandavision, the official advertising media arm of Pavilion KL.
“With the prime location of our giant LED screens commanding an average of 2 million vehicle passenger views per month, we thrive on creating new ways to bridge the gap between retail, technology, design and creativity," said Suzanne Chai, business director of Brandavision.
"Our aim is to collaborate with cutting-edge brands and thought-leading clients on creating compelling content to amplify their brands in one of the country’s most iconic destinations and high traffic retail hubs."
Pavilion has been a hot spot for 3D ads in recent years. For Christmas last year, beauty retailer Sephora Malaysia launched its first-ever 3D interactive showcase campaign called "Unwrap their beautiful" at Pavilion.
"Unwrap their beautiful" invites visitors regardless of age, gender or background, on a virtual journey to discover the power of their beauty and to share in the holiday cheer this season of gifting.
The 3D synchronised interactive show turns viewers into participants and allows them to dedicate their holiday wishes to the capital city's largest 3D screens by scanning a QR code. Participants can either connect instantly or schedule their wishes in advance.
