8traordinary acquires stakes in X10 Media to enhance influencer marketing capabilities

Brand consultancy and creative agency 8traordinary, has acquired stakes in regional influencer marketing agency X10 Media to strategically enhance the influencer marketing capabilities of both companies while emphasising the impact of word-of-mouth marketing.

The collaboration responds to and aims to leverage the power of influencer marketing from the rapid growth of daily content production and circulation that has enabled social media platforms to become the optimal channel for brands to engage with their target audiences, according to a statement by the brand.

Through the collaboration, 8traordinary will have access to X10 Media’s tangible return on investment (ROI) solution for influencer campaigns.

“Our team has spearheaded the development of a proprietary technology called Leadgram, a cutting-edge tool that can enable brands to effectively retarget consumers and substantially enhance conversions derived from Instagram campaigns,” added Sky Lim, regional CEO of X10 Media.

X10 has also launched social media campaigns for brands such as Singtel, Pepsi and LVMH to name a few.

“In an era of hyperconnectivity and data, resulting in more choices and distractions, how do we as brands and marketers cut through the clutter to connect with our audience? Why should they give us their time or attention? I think the answer is: authenticity,” said Jeffrey Lim, founder and managing director of 8traordinary.

As 90% of people are more likely to trust a recommended brand, independent of whether the recommendation comes from a stranger of friend, influencer marketing has become a necessary market strategy, the statement continued.

Brands are continuously collaborating with one another to bolster their offerings, recently, Omnicom Media Group, the media services division of Omnicom acquired Ptarmigan Media, a specialist agency that provides end-to-end media and marketing solutions to financial services brands, according to a statement by the agency.

Ptarmigan Media delivers a range of services including fully integrated media planning and buying, market research, search and social, as well as content and creative.
