7-Eleven Australia is making a bigger play for advertising dollars, launching a dedicated retail media network spanning more than 760 stores, its My 7-Eleven loyalty program and digital channels.
Dubbed Anytime Media @ 7-Eleven, the new omnichannel network gives supplier brands access to the convenience retailer's 4.6 million weekly transactions and extends its advertising proposition beyond the traditional supermarket retail media environment.
The move comes as retailers increasingly look to turn their physical footprints, customer data and loyalty programs into media businesses, with 7-Eleven pitching the frequency and immediacy of convenience shopping as a point of difference.
A new network of digital screens is already being rolled out across stores and will expand further in 2027, adding another point of contact for advertisers close to purchase.

Anthony Venuto, general manager commercial services at 7-Eleven Australia, will lead the new operation.
“7-Eleven has millions of weekly customer interactions, the strongest product launch and recruitment offer in the market and a thriving loyalty platform,” Venuto said. “It’s on this strong platform that Anytime Media @ 7-Eleven will boost advertiser campaigns and better connect with target audiences.”
The retailer is particularly pitching the network around younger consumers and the potential for brands to reach them across different convenience occasions throughout the day.
Riley Wolff, product manager Anytime Media @ 7-Eleven, said the network was designed to give brands opportunities both inside and outside stores.
“We’ve built Anytime Media @ 7-Eleven to help brand partners better engage young Australians, elevate innovation and create more meaningful moments in and out of store,” Wolff said.
“The network, including our new digital screen rollout, is designed to help supplier advertisers maximise impact, create value and activate in moments that matter.”
Retail media has been one of the bigger stories of the year, with retailers increasingly looking to turn their stores, customer data and loyalty programs into advertising businesses.
Myer launched its Myer Media Network in July, JB Hi-Fi entered the market earlier this year and McDonald’s is now testing its own media network across hundreds of restaurants in the US.
The 7-Eleven launch brings that model firmly into convenience retail, combining its national store footprint, loyalty program, digital channels and growing in-store screen network.
