Malaysia – Draftfcb has confirmed to A+M that Noor Ashikin Aziz (pictured) has resigned from his position as executive creative director, after having served three and a half years at the agency, to pursue personal projects.
The agency tells A+M that Noor has found the weekly commute between Malaysia and Singapore, where he lives, increasingly difficult and decided it was time for him to spend more time with his family there.
His last day will be on 31 March 2013. Throughout his tenure, Noor has managed accounts such as Celcom Xpax, Telekom Malaysia, CIMB bank, Beiersdorf – Nivea, Nivea For Men, Kraft’s Oreo, Tune Money and Sarawak Energy.
Draftfcb has been in the process of finding a suitable replacement to take over Noor’s duties.
Lakshmi Mohan, the agency’s other ECD, is also departing to go into retirement at the end of March. A replacement is not being sought.
Creative directors Raymond Ng , Richard Koh and Kim Lee will remain with the group and will help manage the creative department throughout these changes.
Draftfcb tells A+M it will announce the new group ECD in the coming weeks.
