MAS celebrates 40th with year-long campaign

Malaysia Airlines will a launch series of campaigns that will reward customers all the way to 2013 as a part of its 40th anniversary campaign.

For the next 12 months, MAS will be giving away special commemorative gifts on flights, special menus and surprises to customers during check-in and boarding.

There will also be open days where guests are invited to witness ‘behind-the-scenes’ operations at its engineering hangar.

“One of our aircraft will be painted with our special ‘40 years of Malaysian Hospitality’ livery, an extra special guest experience for our customers who get to fly in that plane,’ said group chief executive officer Ahmad Jauhari Yahya.

MAS will tie up with Hitz.fm to run the ‘Take Someone Special, Somewhere Special’ contest, where they will be giving away 40 pairs of flight tickets to various MAS destinations over 40 days. The contest runs until 16 November.

“Turning 40 is an amazing milestone for us. We have planned year-round activities in various ways to reward and appreciate our customers and staff” said Malaysia Airlines commercial director, Dr. Hugh Dunleavy.
