BeMyGuest hires a CMO

Following a successful investment of SG$500,000, Singapore-based travel site BeMyGuest has hired Blanca Menchaca (pictured), former global head of online marketing at travel metasearch site

Menchaca’s digital travel industry experience covered key emerging travel markets including Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East and Australia.

She was instrumental in helping Wego scale from start-up to its current pre – IPO Series C round.

BeMyGuest is created by founder, Clement Wong and was launched in beta format in October 2012. BeMyGuest links local travel experiences offered by local communities providing travellers with authentic cultural perspectives and encounters.

Menchaca joins the company as CMO and partner.

“By digitalising and standardising local travel content from suppliers across emerging markets we provide a marketplace for products otherwise unattainable for travellers who seek a unique and immersive experience, while supporting local businesses,” Wong said.

Wong’s extensive travel industry experience spans over a decade having worked with travel firms such as PhoCusWright, and TravelPort GDS as well as Euromonitor International.
