[WATCH] Scary Carrie plays a prank

As part of its promotions, the marketers behind the movie Carrie decided to give a fright fest to customers at a New York City coffee joint.

The marketing stunt promoting the movie was put up on YouTube on 7 October (yes, a Monday morning)  and has already resulted in over 14 million hits at the time of writing.

Remote controlled tables and chairs and stumbling spring bookshelves were created to make it seem as though the protagonist was a real life Carrie – an angsty teenage girl with telekinetic powers.

The movie hits theaters next week and stars Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore.
