With 35 million hits in 7 days, Jean Claude Van Damme’s plug for Volvo trucks might be the viral advertising hit of the year.
The Epic Split features Van Damme performing his signature split between two moving Volvo trucks driving in reverse set to an Enya’s “Sail Away.”
The stunt – which Volvo claims as a world’s first – was rolled out to demonstrate the Volvo trucks dynamic steering system which purportedly improves precision and stability in any driving situation.
Responses online ranged from the gobsmacked to incredulous and of course, to sceptical; but one thing’s for sure – owning a Volvo truck just made the wish list this holiday season.
