Following a pitch, Unilever has consolidated all of its search engine optimisation and search engine marketing under OMG’s Resolution Media. Resolution Media, which is part of Annalect Group, sits under Omnicom Media Group's digital data and analytic umbrella.According to global reports such as Adweek and Mediapost, Resolution will work closely with media agency PHD on the account. Currently, PHD handles media buying for Unilever in markets such as China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and New Zealand. In 2012, OMG unified its search agencies across 40 countries under the Resolution Media brand. The company confirmed in a press statement that this was done to create a "leading global search and optimisation platform that will more effectively leverage scale, data and knowledge on behalf of clients."According to Adweek, previously, the search business was handled by WPP’s agencies. In the meanwhile, Unilever is still reviewing its media buying and planning business globally, putting incumbents Mindshare, IPG and PHD on alert.A Unilever spokesperson confirmed the review to Marketing, adding that it was in the early stages of a review process, held every three years.
