TurnOut begins its push across Asia

TurnOut Ventures, a joint venture between Turner Entertainment and Outblaze Investments, has hired Fluid group marketing manager Faridah Turner as senior sales and marketing manager.Turner will be tasked to drive development and management of the Tuzki franchise from marketing and communications, new product and promotional licensees to sourcing co-marketing partners.She will also oversee marketing and communications for massively multiplayer online games (MMOG) published by TurnOut Ventures such as Ben 10 and Tom & Jerry as well as developing and managing community marketing for TurnOut products, including online forums, offline events and digital marketing strategies across all Turner platforms.TurnOut Ventures is a joint venture between Turner Entertainment Holdings Asia Pacific and Outblaze Investments that specialises in content development and online games publishing.It develops MMOGs based on Ben 10 and Tom & Jerry for launch in Asia Pacific and manages the global brand and product development of the Tuzki character, a bunny emoticon that originated in China in 2007.She reports to Benjamin Grubbs, general manager at TurnOut Ventures.Grubbs said TurnOut Ventures is charting new territory from online games financed by micro-transactions, to the development of new IP originating online."Faridah brings to the team an enviable track record in effectively developing and marketing brands across the Asia Pacific region and we look forward to witnessing the further growth of Tuzki and our gaming business under her leadership."Prior to TurnOut Ventures, Turner was group marketing manager for Fluid Group. Her previous experience include being a brand and marketing manager at Funtastic in Australia as well as business development director at Lighthouse Independent Media.
