Richard Thomas, president and CEO of DDB Group Hong Kong, will take on a new global role within the group to oversee key clients McDonald’s, J&J, Unilever and Phillips.
Thomas moves into a new role as president of global accounts and chief integration officer for DDB Asia Pacific.
Thomas told Marketing he will continue to be based in Hong Kong, but will focus on helping key clients grow their business and make sure all the various offerings under DDB Group are being utilised.
“Across the region DDB has had a good few years and this is an opportunity to increase our visibility and focus on global clients,” Thomas said.
As part of the move DDB Group in China is moving in a sub regional structure with Dick van Motman, president and CEO of DDB China Group to oversee Hong Kong and Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and Taipei.
