Tesco has named retail media specialist, Magiqads as exclusive media agency to manage and sell media space within it’s hypermarkets and retail spaces in Malaysia.
Magiqads beat off Posad for the business. Magiqads’ AGM, Soon Swee Huat will be responsible for the account. The company began operations two years ago, and started offering floor media in Tesco and other hypermarkets and retail outlets with it’s unique ‘floorstoppers’. Since then it has increased its inventory to include aisle sponsorships, freezer and chiller wraps, billboards, pillar spaces among others.
“Advertisers need to understand that this is the new mass-media, its an opportunity to touch consumers at the point when they are buying. With this exclusive license, we see ourselves being able to offer better combinations of media space and better rates,” Sailendra K. founder and CEO of Magiqads said.
Tesco, which has over 24 outlets nationwide, plans to open six more stores in February next year.
