Samsung goes on aggressive hiring spree

Samsung is on an aggressive hiring spree, and has made two senior appointments to its regional digital team.

Ranji David (pictured), previously executive director at the Interactive Advertising Bureau Southeast Asia, has been appointed as regional head of digital marketing. Grace Yi, previously e-Commerce program manager at Dell, has been appointed as regional head of e-Commerce.

Both will report to Damien Cummings, regional marketing director, digital & social media at Samsung Asia, Cummings confirmed to Marketing.

Separately, the company has also hired Richard Joyce to lead its corporate affairs for Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Cummings also said that the company is in the midst of aggressively hiring, not just in the digital marketing team.

He said that he could not lock down an exact number at this point, but that there would be a senior hire for social media joining soon. Appointments will be made at the regional as well as local levels for the digital team, added Cummings.
