Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore builds up its planning team

Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore has appointed Steve Walls (pictured) as head of planning. He was last with Ogilvy & Mather as head of planning for two years.Prior to Ogilvy & Mather, Walls has worked at AMV BBDO North America, JWT, “WhatIf”, BBH London/Singapore and Publicis. He has also worked with clients such as BMW, Castrol, CNBC-Asia, JetBlue, Johnnie Walker, Nestle, SingTel, Smirnoff and Unilever.Meanwhile, late last year Shannon Cullum was appointed to lead Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore and Malaysia as CEO. This is the first senior hire made by the agency since Cullum took on the new role.“Walls is here to do what he does best – make wonderful work,” said Cullum. “Inspired thinking begets inspiring creative, and I know Steve will quickly become essential to both our creatives and clients.”Walls’ appointment also comes after the agency bagged global creative duties for Taiwanese IT brand Acer. The agency will help the brand develop its global brand idea, which will be executed across key markets and channels. This is Acer’s first time appointing a global creative agency.
