Saatchi & Saatchi SG bolsters creative team with new hires

Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore has appointed Gayle Lim (pictured left) and Run Run Teng (pictured right) as creative directors. The duo most recently worked at J. Walter Thompson Singapore (JWT), where they led the Lux, Sunsilk, Creamsilk, and Changi Airport accounts.

Prior to her new role, Lim was the creative director at JWT for over five years, according to her LinkedIn. She has also worked at Lowe and Partners Worldwide for over three years, with her last role being creative director. During her time there, she handled the global Unilever CLEAR account and regional accounts for Sunlight and Perfetti. Before that, Lim was a senior writer at Saatchi & Saatchi for less than a year, where she worked on the Singapore Navy, Lexus, Tiger Beer and Sony Ericsson accounts. She also worked as a copywriter at McCann Worldgroup.

Teng was also the creative director at JWT for more than five years, prior to joining Saatchi & Saatchi. She also worked at Lowe and Partners Worldwide for over two years as creative director, according to her LinkedIn. Before that, Teng was the senior art director at DDB, where she managed the Health Promotion Board, Johnson & Johnson, Robinsons, Tourism Australia and Wing Tai retail accounts. Teng also worked at McCann Worldgroup and Publicis.

“We could not wish for better partners than Lim and Teng. They are revered in the market for their exceptional talent and no-nonsense attitude. They are exactly the type of people we need to take Saatchi & Saatchi forward,” Clinton Manson, executive creative director, said.

Additionally, Saatchi & Saatchi has awarded Manson a seat on its worldwide creative board. Tasked with setting the agency’s direction worldwide, the board consists of the network’s most talented creative leaders. Manson will work closely with global chief creative officer Kate Stanners on HSBC, one of the network’s biggest global accounts.

Manson replaced Dominic Stallard in October 2017, handling the agency’s regional and local accounts. He returns to Singapore after a stint at Saatchi & Saatchi in London, where he was global creative director since 2014. He reports to Kate Stanners, global chief creative officer of Saatchi & Saatchi, and Lou Dela Pena, CEO of Publicis Communications Singapore. He will also work closely with Rosalind Lee, GM of Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore.

“We’ve searched far and wide for the right creative leadership to take on Saatchi & Saatchi’s creative legacy. Manson, Lim and Teng share an energy and passion to match this ambition,” Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore GM, Rosalind Lee, said. Lee was named GM earlier this year, replacing Celevel Butler, who left in November last year and joined a managing partner of Edelman.
