Communication technology company Polycom, Inc. has appointed Jim Cullinan to the newly created role of VP, buzz and brand. Based in San Jose, California, Cullinan will be responsible for leading global external communications and brand strategy for the company.
He will lead the team to bring an integrated approach to connected the Polycom brand, products and people to its customers, partners, industry influencers and employees. Prior to joining Polycom, Cullinan has helmed senior communication roles at companies such as Microsoft, Yahoo!, Leapfrog and Clear Channel. He led communications for Microsoft’s legal and policy issues before taking charge of Windows PR during the launch of Windows XP. Cullinan has 25 years of experience in strategic communications, media relations, crisis communications and digital marketing.
