App to avoid floods
The Public Utilities Board (PUB) has created an app for the general public called MyWaters to access information and services provided by it. Currently the app is only available for iPhone but PUB intends to explore into other mediums by year-end. The free application provides information on water-related topics and users can gain easy access to the latest on flash flood situations by checking water level information in key drain and canals. The app was conceptualised in house and produced by Codigo. The application also has a ‘share’ feature which enables users to upload photos of the beautiful waterscapes around the island onto a feedback channel.
