Outdoor media specialist Visual Retale has unveiled a supersized LED digital billboard on the façade of Pinnacle Petaling Jaya, the tallest office tower in Petaling Jaya city. The new entity measures a massive 110 feet (33.5 metres) in height and 68 feet (20.7 metres) in width.Construction of the digital billboard took three months to complete and the first ads by IKEA and Malaysia Airlines goes live today. The bottom of the screen starts on the 9th floor of the building façade and stretches all the way up to the 19th floor, comprising almost 10 floors of LED panels, making it not just the largest, but also the tallest solid panel LED outdoor site in Malaysia.“Size and location are indeed two key factors in determining the impact and value that an out-of-home advertisement site can deliver. With a total LED surface area of 7,480 square feet, it is quite hard to miss, you can see it quite a distance away and it stands tall at the busiest artery leading into the city. This site promises to offer high impact and great visibility for your brands,” said Sailendra Kanagasundram, CEO of Visual Retale. The digital billboard on Pinnacle Tower is strategically located along Federal Highway in the heart of Petaling Jaya city, with Sheraton Hotel as a landmark. According to statistics from Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia (Road Works Department), the screens face an estimated 505,000 vehicles heading into Kuala Lumpur city centre between 7am to 11pm daily, making it the busiest expressway in the country. As the nature of this traffic is quite repetitive, this site offers a high ‘opportunity to see’ and ranking from an outdoor media perspective. There are an estimated 15 million views a month with traffic heading towards Kuala Lumpur, making this one of the most attractive digital out-of-home propositions available in the market.“Above and beyond that, we also want to take advantage of the dynamism that comes with digital media and to serve audiences with more meaningful targeted content. Hence, we are currently working with a media technology partner to incorporate some cutting-edge features to the screens, which will make this offering even more exciting. So watch this space as we continue to revolutionise the outdoor advertising market,” Kunagasundram shared.
