Five local independent agencies of various marketing specialties have joined hands to launch a new collective called Better Together.
The group comprises five agencies which offer creative, digital, events, media or public relations services. It aims to offer a “holistic suite of services under one roof, enabling clients to have the option of true scalability for their projects,” the collective said in a statement.
The new collective is made up of creative agency TMRW, media shop BlackBlue Media Group (BBMG), brand activation agency I_Possible, PR firm Saffron Communications and music events company Red Spade Entertainment.
The joint effort will be led by Shaun Quek (pictured), founder and managing director of creative agency TMRW (also previously co-founder of independent creative shop The Local). With the launch of Better Together, Quek aims to create a “Passion Taskforce” to produce the best work for its clients. Quek will also lead the creative services for the new outfit.
Cheryl Khong, founder, Saffron Communications will lead the PR arm of the group. With six years’ experience in the PR industry, Khong has worked at MTV Asia and nightlife destination St James Power Station before setting up her own boutique agency in 2009.
As for media, Ariane Goo, co-founder, BBMG, will lead the initiative. She has more than 12 years of experience in the media and advertising industry working with media agencies like Mindshare and OMD. Since she co-founded BBMG three years ago, the company has grown from a two-man outfit to a team of 15 today.
Meanwhile, the events branch of the collective is led by Melissa Ho, founder of I_Possible. Ho was last regional director of Starcom Mediavest Group. Before that, she was director of integrated communications at Kingsmen OOH-media, a subsidiary of Kingsmen Group.
Entertainment marketing company Red Spade Entertainment co-founded in 2009 by Kelvin Goh and Samantha Chan will make up the events component of the collective. The company boasts a portfolio that includes events such as Singapore F1 Grand Prix, National Day Parade, and Chingay among many others.
