NBCUniversal promotes Justin Che to managing director

NBCUniversal International Television has promoted Justin Che to the newly created role of managing director, International Television, Asia Pacific.Having been in the company since 1997, Che will now lead the company’s television business across Asia Pacific in his new position, overseeing both content distribution and channels for the region from the company’s Singapore office.Che (pictured) will be reporting to Belinda Menendez, president, NBCUniversal International Television Distribution & Universal Networks International. Menendez said:  “Che’s appointment to jointly lead both our distribution and channels businesses aligns with NBCUniversal’s overall strategy to integrate our portfolio of television assets in a more holistic way in key growth markets. Asia Pacific is an increasingly important focus area for our international television business and Justin, Christine and Rajiv’s collaborative expertise will drive growth for our business in the region."“Asia Pacific is a dynamic, fast-paced region with extensive and exciting opportunities for growth across the television and new media sectors,” added Che.Meanwhile, Christine Fellowes, MD, Asia Pacific, Universal Networks International,will continue in her key leadership position overseeing the APAC networks business, driving the ongoing growth of the company’s portfolio of six channel brands across Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.Additionally, Rajiv Dhawn is promoted from VP, sales liason to SVP sales liason Asia, NBCUniversal International Television.  Dhawn will continue to be responsible for the Free TV, Pay-TV, transactional VOD and other content licensing activities across the Asia Pacific region.
