NEA gets consultant help for marketing

The National Environment Agency has appointed Roth Observatory International as its marketing consultant, looking to make its marketing processes more efficient.The appointment is for a period of one year. ROI, previously known as The Observatory Asia Pacific, will be tasked to able to improve work processes with NEA’s appointed agencies. An NEA spokesperson also added that ROI would help with monitoring the agencies and audit the financial aspects of agency rate cards.While it will not be directly involved in the pitching processes held by NEA when it comes to appointing agencies, ROI will be tasked to identify key areas of improvement within the organisation for better efficiency.The NEA calls multi-million dollar tenders for its communications annually.  This is the first of such an appointment made by NEA.Meanwhile, NEA has also recently moved its media account from OMD to UM. The appointment was moved following a closed door pitch.The NEA spokesperson clarified that the contract term for OMD was for a period of one year with the option to extend for another year. UM will be handling the media account from April 2014 onwards.
