Miguel Bernas to exit Mediacorp

Miguel Bernas (pictured), VP of digital marketing at Mediacorp, will be leaving the company at the end of February 2018. Both Bernas and Mediacorp confirmed the move to Marketing. Karen Yew, head of brand and communication, added that Bernas will be completing a two-year contract with Mediacorp in February 2018.He first joined Mediacorp in February 2016 to lead digital marketing initiatives and reported to chief digital officer Shane Mitchell, who has since been replaced by Parminder Singh.In his current role, Bernas plays a key role in the digital transformation of the company’s marketing practices, and adoption of digital marketing and audience development best practices across all business units. He was also tasked with growing audiences across the various media properties and support revenue through digital marketing activities.Bernas has over two decades of experience in digital media, digital entertainment and content marketing, managing teams across the Asia Pacific region for some of the world’s well-known brands including Yahoo!, MTV, Virgin, SingTel, CNBC and PayPal.Prior to the role with Mediacorp, he was APAC director of digital marketing with PayPal for over a year. He was also director of digital marketing at Singtel for over three years.
