Media Prima calls for brand pitch to beef up comms strategy

Media Prima is tipped to be calling a brand pitch. A+M understands it is for one of its TV brands and the agency will be tasked to assist with its communication strategy.

Media Prima TV Networks operates Malaysia’s four leading free to-air television stations namely TV3, Malaysia’s number one television station in the country; TV9, popular amongst young fresh mass Malays; as well as 8TV and ntv7, number one and number two leading channels for the Chinese and urban demographics.

A+M has reached out to Media Prima for a comment but could not confirm further details at the time of writing. However, A+M understands that the four companies shortlisted include agencies such as TBWA, Dragon Rouge and McCann Worldgroup as well as, brand consultancy Ova.

Most recently, Media Prima brought home the highly-coveted Media Owner of the Year award in front of over 250 audience members at A+M‘s The Spark Awards For Media Excellence 2017, held in InterContinental Singapore on the 18th of August.

The win was largely due to the media conglomerate’s subsidiary, Media Prima Television Networks, which won the title of Best in Show, taking home an astounding five gold awards for Best Media Solution – TV / Online Video, Best Media Solution – Social Media, Best Media Solution – Integrated Media, Best Collaboration between Media Owner & Agency, and Best Creative Team.
