Media Group has acquired SG Magazine and its online site sgmagazine.com from Asia City Media Group. In January 2018, Media Group has also consolidated four existing publishers under its account.According to Dennis Pua, managing director of Media Group, SG Magazine has a "unique place" in Singapore's media landscape, and brings a strong digital focus to the group. This helps the group to achieve its aim of expanding its focus on digital solutions which includes video, content marketing, website and app development.Pua also added that the group will be leveraging on the magazine's "strong reputation" for custom publishing in areas such as visitor media, entertainment, and the arts, to expand its client base. Other sectors under Media Group also include luxury titles, home and interiors titles, customer content solutions division such as monthly inflight magazines and special interest titles. These include titles such as Portfolio, Cromly, Scoot Tigerair and BBC Earth respectively.Greg Duncan, CEO of Asia City Media Group said that the acquisition was well-timed to take advantage of initiatives that SG Magazine has been developing over the past year.“We have re-positioned the brand, enhanced our digital skill-set, and created many new ways for clients to reach our loyal audience. We believe that being part of a bigger group with multiple titles creates synergies to benefit both sides," Duncan added.SG Magazine is a established brand for city-based news, events, dining and nightlife. It was initially launched as I-S Magazine in 1995, and rebranded as SG Magazine in 2015.  In 2016, SG Magazine went fully digital, and offers a range of products and services which are aimed at the city’s most active and affluent young professionals.
