Malaysian grocery app HappyFresh maps SEA expansion

Malaysian food tech start-up HappyFresh is mapping its Southeast Asian expansion, looking to launch next in Taipei and Manila, a spokesperson told A+M.This follows its Bangkok launch in August this year. The app also debuted in Jakarta in March this year.HappyFresh allows customers to order groceries from local supermarkets and specialty stores and have it delivered to their doorstep in as little as one hour.The company was founded in October 2014 by its seven co-founders and the app became available in Malaysia in March 2015. It is led by Markus Bihler serving as CEO and director Opal Wu for Malaysia.The app markets itself through social media posts, online ads, email newsletters, key opinion leaders marketing, referral and customer loyalty programmes and more.
