Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has tied up with LINE to offer exclusive deals for passengers who booked their flight tickets via the app.
A+M understands that the official launch date of the partnership is scheduled to be on 28 July.
LINE is a communication app and mobile message provider which allows users to make free voice calls and send free messages. Launched in 2013, the company said earlier it wants to expand and attracts mobile users from all ages to use the app via collaboration with local business and joint marketing campaigns.
In August last year, LINE collaborated with digital marketing agency, idotyou to facilitate the launch of McDonald’s Malaysia official account on LINE mobile social community. On that, a set of 16 co-branded exclusive LINE stickers were released to ensure that McDonald’s Malaysia remains relevant and relatable to the LINE community.
The 2-way approach allowed McDonald’s Malaysia to relate to LINE users and drive foot fall to the restaurants, all while creating a sense of exclusivity for LINE users which will translate into brand loyalty in the long run, said idotyou.
