Malaysia Airlines’ CMO exits

Dean Dacko, CMO of Malaysia Airlines, has confirmed to A+M that he is leaving the company.

Dacko has been with the company for three years. Dacko told A+M that he is currently weighing out his options outside of Malaysia and an internal replacement has not yet been named.

A+M has reached out to MAS for more details.

Earlier in July, the airline also appointed Paul Simmons as Malaysia Airlines Berhad’s chief commercial officer.  Simmons is expected to commence his new role by 1 December 2015. Prior to his appointment Simmons was the chief commercial officer for Flybe, United Kingdom. He was formerly the regional general manager, UK and head of brand marketing, products and distribution for Easy Jet. The changes come with the appointment of a new CEO Christoph Mueller just eight months ago.

Meanwhile, MAS has also recently appointed creative agency M&C Saatchi as its lead creative agency and Singapore based shop called Profit as its branding agency.
