Letting its Imagination run wild in Shanghai

With an eye to expanding its business in China, Imagination Shanghai has moved into new digs at French Concession – driven by the open-space concept to encourage more creativity and collaboration.[gallery link="file" ids="106629,106628,106627,106626,106625"]The independent creative shop has experienced a successful year in which its revenue has increased at 32% YOY across Greater China, growing at 73% during the same period in Mainland China.Driven by the rising business demand, the Shanghai team has expanded from a small group of 10 to 100 employees in five years. The new office space is ready to accommodate 200.With more open spaces and flexible creative environments for creation and collaboration, the new office is designed to drive physical and digital experimentation for employees and clients to play, think, learn and create. The new space also includes an innovation lab.Conceived and built in Shanghai, the lab has been created to be the engine of creativity and innovation at Imagination Asia Pacific. It is both a physical space and a company wide innovation programme that promotes ideation, collaboration and co-creation throughout the region.The office is led by Alistair Wilson, the newly installed managing director of Imagination China, who has relocated from Australia as board director at Imagination Melbourne. The 17-year Imagination veteran has also worked at the London and Hong Kong offices.
