Personal care company Kimberly-Clark Corporation is in the midst of looking out for a media agency. The company has confirmed the move to Marketing but declined to comment further.
Deepshikha Kiyawat, Senior Director, APAC Adult and Feminine Care Sector, Kimberly-Clark said:
“We have invited several agencies to participate in a pitch for media planning and buying across both traditional and digital media. We are looking for a partner who are able to provide innovative solutions for our brands.”
Marketing understands the markets involved in the pitch are Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. Currently, it works with Mindshare in all these markets and has over the years worked with the agency to launch several innovative capabilities.
In 2013, through the Kimberly-Clark Digital Innovation Lab, it paired up with Mindshare and several venture capital firms to create an innovation competition. This ultimately culminated in a live pitch held at CES 2014.
Mid last year the manufacturer of Kleenex, Kotex and Huggies also appointed a new CMO, reporting to Tony Palmer, president of global brands and innovation. Scott Usitalo joined Kimberly-Clark in 2008 and has held several global and regional leadership roles across the company.
Prior to joining Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Usitalo spent over 24 years at Procter & Gamble in various product supply, brand management and global marketing leadership roles. He also honed his innovation capabilities with several CPG companies while in a consultancy role with Seed Strategy between his P&G and Kimberly-Clark experiences.
