Havas Singapore CEO Jacqui Lim moves on after 10 years with agency

Havas Village Singapore has a leadership transition as Jacqui Lim (pictured), CEO for Havas Media Network Singapore and chief growth officer for SEA and North Asia, has decided to move on from the agency to pursue other interests. In light of her departure, Rana Barua, group CEO for India, Southeast Asia, and North Asia, will take over additional responsibilities of the overall Singapore village.

Moving forward, Russell Lai, chief commercial officer, Havas Media Network, and Kenny Yap, managing director, Havas Red, Socialyse, and Havas Play, will report directly to Rana Barua. Additionally, BLKJ Havas’ CEO & co-founder, Rowena Bhagchandani, and Joji Jacob, regional chief creative officer for SEA and North Asia and Creative lead and Co-founder, BLKJ Havas, continue to report directly to him.

Lim, a seasoned media professional, has been a driving force behind the growth and success of Havas Media Network Singapore. Having joined the agency in 2014 as the managing director of Havas Media, Lim rose through the ranks to CEO, showcasing exceptional leadership skills and strategic acumen. Throughout her tenure, she has been instrumental in fostering growth across various fronts, including new business acquisition, client retention, and talent development. In 2022, she expanded her responsibilities as chief growth officer for SEA and North Asia, further solidifying her impact within the organisation. Under her leadership, the agency bagged clients such as Changi Airport Group, Singapore Management University, AIA, M1, Cycle & Carriage amongst others.  

Commenting on the development, Rana Barua, group CEO, India and Southeast Asia & North Asia said Lim has played a pivotal role in Havas Media Singapore’s success over the years. “She embodies Havas’ entrepreneurial spirit and future-forward thinking perfectly, and this has contributed to the growth and success of the agency,” he added.

“Lim and I have had many conversations, where she expressed her desire to explore new avenues, and we wholeheartedly support her decision.  We are grateful for her significant and lasting contribution, and we wish her the very best for her next chapter,” he added.

On her departure, Lim shared, “It has been an extremely fulfilling and meaningful journey at Havas Media Network Singapore over the last 10 years. I am grateful for the opportunities given by the network, including the broader chief growth officer remit for SEA and North Asia in 2022.”
