Ireland leaves GAB to join EABL

Charles Ireland, former managing director of Guinness Anchor Berhad, will join East African Breweries from April as group managing director.Ireland (pictured front row, second from right), who was last week honoured for helping GAB achieve 11 consecutive years of revenue growth, takes over from East African Breweries MD Devlin Hainsworth, who leaves his role on 31 March.EABL is East Africa's largest alcohol beverage company with market cap of about US$3 billion.The business consists of five breweries and two spirits plants across seven countries in East Africa including Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
