Former Mirum Malaysia MD Jordan Chua heads to FALCON

FALCON Agency has appointed Jordan Chua as partner and managing director for its Malaysian office. He takes over the role from co-founders, Max-F. Scheichenost and Daniel Endres, who will focus on growing key strategic clients and the internationalisation of the agency across key SEA markets.Based in Kuala Lumpur, Chua will be tasked with strengthening the regional management team and leading the Malaysian headquarters. He will also work closely with clients to drive innovative solutions which provide tangible results. In addition, he will lead digital transformation for brands in Malaysia and regionally. He joins the regional management team together with the co-founders, Scheichenost, Endres and the Singapore MD, Kelvin Koo.Prior to the appointment, Chua was the MD of Mirum Malaysia, a role he left in September, where he was responsible for setting-up the foundation for its digital transformation services. He was also in charge of the overall business with a focus on business growth, people development, process frameworks definition and key client management duties. He was appointed to the role in April 2015 and replaced Rueben Anthony, who moved on to the regional role for Mirum Asia’s Digital Transformation & Consulting unit as regional managing director for Mirum. Chua reported directly to Anthony.Chua joined Mirum in 2014 from TBWA Group Kuala Lumpur, where was the digital planning director. At Mirum, he was  to set the foundation for its Digital Transformation services, responsible for the overall business with focus on business growth, people development, process frameworks definition and key client management duties.Prior to that, he was vice president, strategic planning & digital with the agency. He has also worked at Tequila-Myalo Malaysia where he held the position of general manager. With over 20 years’ experience in the integrated marketing industry, Chua has worked with wide array of clients across multiple categories, including telecommunications, financial services, tourism, FMCG and retail.In an exclusive conversation with Marketing, Scheichenost said that Chua’s appointment is part of the plan to strengthen the agency’s regional management team.
