Edelman CEO Steven Cao returns after two-month absence

Steven Cao, CEO of Edelman China, has “returned to his family” after a two-month absence from what the Chinese authorities called “co-operation” on a corruption probe on Rui Chenggang, the CCTV news anchor, and Cao’s former business partner.Edelman China and Hong Kong confirmed the development to Marketing in an email, saying: Cao is “spending private time with his family,” but refused to elaborate further.However, his prospects at Edelman remain uncertain.Cao was first found missing from work from his Edelman China office at the end of July, as he was reportedly co-operating with the Chinese authorities over an official corruption probe into the detained CCTV anchor.
