Media and journalism is today a much faster moving industry than what we have ever known. How media organisations operate a newsroom is far more complex than the world of print could ever have imagined.
All this is happening against a backdrop of a new world of sponsored content and brand funded journalism, the rise of mass audience aggregators like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, and even a newer style of media which aggregates content from multiple sources.
SOPA will hold a special Media Insiders Series to address how the rise of digital and video journalism has changed the way we consume news, but also the challenges of how media companies can remain profitable and remain in business.
Hosted by Marketing’s group editor Matt Eaton, the panel will consist of media specialists including Alexander Hotz, multimedia director at Coconuts Media, Thomas Crampton, global managing director at Social@Ogilvy, Adam Najberg, Asia digital editor at the Wall Street Journal Asia and Beatrice Lo, sparkling brand director at Coca-Cola.
