CASE appoints Loy York Jiun as executive director

The Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) has appointed Loy York Jiun as the new executive director with effect from January 2017. He replaces Seah Seng Choon (pictured) who will be re-employed in the company as the advisor.Loy was previously the deputy executive director at CASE. He previously held senior appointments within NTUC and was the director, corporate planning secretariat. He was also the general manager of South West CDC in the past.Loy said, “CASE has been playing a critical role as a consumer advocate and champion with Seah as its most visible face.""I hope to build on Seah's good work and the strong foundation that he has laid. I look forward to working with our dedicated group of volunteers and staff, as well as Government and industry partners, to strengthen consumer protection in Singapore and in particular, consumer education,” he added.Seah has served as the executive director of CASE for the past 15 years and has led collaborations with over 40 local and international organisations to work together to protect consumers’ interests.Lim Biow Chuan, president of CASE, in a press release released by the association, thanked Seah for his contributions and looks forward to work with Loy.
