Cadbury and EPL partner up to engage Malaysian football fans

Cadbury, a confectionery brand under Mondelez International, has extended its partnership with the English Premier League (EPL) to Malaysia. This is in a bid to extend its reach to the football fans in the country to deliver a unique experience.As part of the partnership, Cadbury will offer Malaysian football fans the chance to win corporate hospitality tickets to watch the Premier League match of their choice throughout the 2018/2019 season. The contest runs until 31 May.The partnership was officiated by EPL football star Andrew Cole (pictured right) in Kuala Lumpur. Cadbury is the exclusive and official snack partner of the EPL. The partnership was first launched in the UK last January and lasts for three years, Cadbury's spokesperson said in a statement to A+M.Nikhil Nicholas (pictured left), chocolates category manager, Mondolez International, said consumers today place their loyalty on the ability of a brand to create new experiences and exciting formats. The company see this strategic partnership as a huge opportunity to strengthen brand loyalty and affinity to Cadbury, as well as expanding its customer base to ensure sustained growth for its business in Malaysia.“The long-term partnership provides another platform for the brand to bring moments of joy to even more people across the nation, which is what we at Mondelez International want to consistently do," Nicholas added.Cole said that having been to Kuala Lumpur before, he knows that Malaysians are "extremely passionate" about football. "It’s great that Cadbury shares the Premier League’s focus on delivering moments of joy, making this a great fit.
