Brandthink Malaysia has been appointed the public relations agency on record for Celestial Tiger Entertainment starting this June, following a pitch that began in February this year.
Brandthink is tasked with the PR duties for both Celestial Movies, on Astro’s Channel 322, and the launch of Celestial’s new channel, Kix HD.
Managing director of Brandthink Malaysia Teoh Jui Hong (pictured) said Brandthink is tasked with providing counsel, strategy and all other communications duties in Malaysia with the goal of expanding the reach and broaden the audience of these two channels.
Brandthink kicks off the appointment with the launch of the Celestial Superstar Club, which will feature the highest-grossing Chinese movies released in late 2011 and early 2012 on Celestial Movies on Astro’s Channel 322, and Celestial Movies HD on Astro’s Channel 309 from July till August.
The two-month long Celestial Superstar Club will be supported by a regional marketing campaign in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia which includes TVC, print, radio, OOH, digital and social media. The campaign will also feature “watch and win” contests in select countries with prizes including a trip for two to Hong Kong.
