This year was a busy year for the Malaysian marketing and advertising industry with several key industry leaders shifting and venturing into new roles. We have compiled a few of the most notable shifts that got our Malaysian readers clicking. This list was compiled from analysis and online tracking done by the A+M.Here's the list:JWT Malaysia’s MD Nicole Tan heads to FacebookHaving opened a new office in Malaysia, Facebook appointed JWT Malaysia’s managing director Nicole Tan (top left) to spearhead the Malaysian arm. Tan currently leads the local business team that partners closely with businesses and agencies, helping them get more value out of Facebook’s solutions. With over 20 years of industry experience in the FMCG, tech, and automotive sectors, Tan had joined JWT in 2013.Naga DDB hands Kristian Lee CEO titleEarlier this year, Kristian Lee (top middle) was named as Naga DDB’s new CEO, replacing David Mitchell who had been with the company since December 2008. This was his second promotion in the year. He was previously the group executive director since 2012. In the new role, Lee will  be managing overall operations for the agency.Nestlé names Eugene Chan new communications and marketing leadNestlé Malaysia Berhad brought on board Eugene Chan (top right) as the new director of communications and marketing. The role was previously held by Khoo Kar Khoon who has since joined Media Chinese International (MCIL). Previously, Chan was the director of communications and marketing excellence for the Indochina region at Nestlé Thailand. He has worked in various marketing, sales and communications roles across global offices including Australia, New Caledonia and Switzerland.Prashant Kumar set to leave IPG Mediabrands after 13 yearsPrashant Kumar (bottom left), president of IPG Mediabrands World Markets Asia left the agency after 13 years of being with the company.  He had been with the company for over four years. He is currently the senior partner at an experimental marketing services consultancy called Entropia.Malaysia Airlines names U Mobile’s Schrene Goh as head of marketingSchrene Goh Miow Ying (bottom right) joined Malaysia Airlines as head of marketing. She has more than 15 years of experience in regional marketing and digital experience. She was was most recently the head of marketing, communications, brand and digital for U Mobile for over a year, where she was oversaw the digital engagement and overall direction of the department.
