ZenithOptimedia's Phil Talbot joins DWA

DWA, the global communications agency for the technology sector, has made several hires to its global board and APAC business unit.Phil Talbot, formerly regional CEO of ZenithOptimedia Asia Pacific, has joined as a non-executive director. Talbot’s role will be to support the ongoing growth and transformation of DWA, with particular emphasis on Asia Pacific. Talbot has wide technological experience having worked with many leading clients in this area including Hewlett Packard, Oracle and 3COM.He will be working closely with APAC regional MD John Massey.DWA CEO David Wood commented on the appointment: “We look to continue the rapid growth we are experiencing throughout the region with a particular emphasis on Australia and China. Talbot’s tremendous success over many years at ZenithOptimedia and his passion for technology made him a natural fit for our global management team. ”The non-executive role is in addition to Talbot’s current position and commitments as CEO of AsiaXpertise which he launched in September 2013.The DWA board also includes John Farrell, former Publicis executive, as its chairman.Amy Slayter joins DWA Singapore in the role of client services director. She started her career with McCann Worldwide in San Francisco on the Microsoft account before moving to Singapore to lead the Nortel account.Additionally, Kiaran Geen has joined DWA as managing director ANZ from OMD Perth where as group business director, he led the agency’s media department and new business initiatives doubling the business over the last few years.
