YuMe sets foot in China with new offices

US-based global audience technology company YuMe has opened two offices in Shanghai and Beijing, aiming to build its presence in the world's second largest advertising market.YuMe launches its operations in China with partnerships that span across its suite of advertising solutions, including Connected TV (CTV), online and mobile advertising, as well as third-party measurement and verification services.The company has also reached a number of advertising sales partnerships with leading Chinese publishers, including BesTV, LeTV and Funshion as well as partnerships with leaders in the advertising verification space, including AdMaster, Miaozhen Systems, Nielsen-CCData and others."The business opportunity in China is truly a big win for YuMe and we are delighted to now share our latest technology with several of the fastest growing publishers in the world," said Jayant Kadambi, Co-Founder and CEO of YuMe."Our presence in the country's two most important media markets and our partnerships with these publishers and measurement and verification companies show our commitment to growing our business here."The video audience in China is estimated at 439 million people, almost 70% of China's Internet users, according to eMarketer, a market research firm. eMarketer also predicts an overall advertising spend of $73.13 billion for China in 2015, with video ad spend reaching $4.04 billion.
