Y&R’s Melvin Kuek tipped to leave managing director role

Young & Rubicam managing director Melvin Kuek is tipped to be leaving his role at the end of the year, Marketing understands. He has been in the role for over four years and before that he was chief client officer at Y&R.

Prior to his stint at Y&R he was general manager at The Gate Worldwide. Kuek has also held tenures as group account director at TBWA and account manager to regional account director at DDB.

Y&R has over the years worked with notable clients such as M1. The agency was also behind M1’s latest campaign that builds on its brand promise “M1. For Every One.” The campaign, titled “Making moments special”, showcases the lives of individuals while demonstrating the use of M1’s products and services in their lives.

Y&R Singapore has also had a long standing relationship with the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP). TAFEP, a client since 2009, was part of Y&R Singapore’s government client portfolio which also includes WDA and the Ministry of Manpower creative AOR account which it won in June this year.
