Y&R's chief creative officer Komal Bedi Sohal tipped to leave

Komal Bedi Sohal, chief creative officer at Y&R Singapore has resigned, Marketing understands. She had joined the company in June 2015, and was brought in to replace Farrokh Madon.Y&R was unable to confirm the news to Marketing at the time of writing.Prior to this, Sohal was the chief creative officer at Rediffusion Y&R India for two years, where she was working closely with all major client teams across India. During her tenure, the office experienced a major growth period, with 16 new businesses. She has been the executive creative director at Y&R, Dubai, in the past.Over the last decade, Sohal has worked on global brands such as Harvey Nichols, Land Rover, Colgate and Microsoft Xbox to name a few.Her advertising journey started in Mumbai. Post this, she relocated to Delhi to work with Trikaya Grey and Enterprise Lowe. She then moved to Euro RSCG, Calcutta before returning to Bombay with Quadrant Lowe.Another senior departure in the company most recently was by  Young & Rubicam’s managing director Melvin Kuek. Kuek is understood to be leaving his role at the end of the year. He has been in the role for over four years and before that he was chief client officer at Y&R.Prior to his stint at Y&R he was general manager at The Gate Worldwide. Kuek has also held tenures as group account director at TBWA and account manager to regional account director at DDB.
