Y&R snags Hoe for group creative role

Kien Hoe, a multiple creative awards recipient, has taken on a new role as group creative director for Y&R Shanghai.

In the new role, he will be leading key accounts including Y&R’s flagship account Gap, Danone and Bacardi.

Hoe joins Y&R on 1September. Before joining TBWA, he spent one year as creative director in Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai leading creative on the Dove and Lee Jeans accounts.

Prior to that, he spent eight years in Saatchi & Saatchi in Malaysia and Shanghai leading accounts and new business pitches and won Gold, Silver and Bronzes at China’s International Advertising Award and China’s 4As show.

“Kien’s track record speaks for itself when it comes to delivering great work for great clients. He is a huge asset to the Y&R team that is constantly striving to create work that is world-class, from China,” said Nils Andersson, chief creative officer of Y&R Greater China.
