Weber Shandwick ropes in Alsagoff

Weber Shandwick has appointed Monica Alsagoff as senior vice president for its consumer practice in Singapore.She will be responsible for expanding the firm's portfolio of clients in consumer lifestyle and sports segment whilst also driving regional campaigns across Southeast Asia.Alsagoff (pictured) was last executive director in Hill & Knowlton Strategies for its luxury and lifestyle clients and left the company earlier this year.She also held the role of marketing director, Asia Pacific as part of the start-up team at Nokia subsidiary Vertu, the luxury mobile phone targeting high net-worth individuals.She also supported the global launch of the Raoul brand for FJ Benjamin which specialises in fashion and timepieces, where she was the divisional chief executive officer for marketing communications and business development.Over the years, Alsagoff has also worked closely with the National Heritage Board, the Singapore Tourism Board, the Singapore Sports Council and National Parks Board.Alsagoff will report directly to co-managing directors Vanessa Ho Nikolovski and Margaret Cunico and be based in Singapore."Many of our traditional B2B clients are seeking to launch consumer outreach programmes, and we are fortunate to have Monica with us to lead this charge," Cunico said.
