Wavemaker promotes Henry Wang to chief product officer

Wavemaker, the global media, content, and technology agency, has promoted Henry Wang from head of data analytics to its chief product officer.In his new role, Wang will lead the ongoing product-driven transformation of Wavemaker China through future-ready products to secure growth for the agency’s clients. He will be based in Shanghai and report directly to Gordon Domlija, Wavemaker APAC president & China CEO.With 14 years of experience running analytics in China and the United States, Wang has been with Wavemaker China for the past three years. He has led the data analytics team to become a core pillar of Wavemaker’s capability as an agency, Wavemaker stated. The main competencies developed by his team – such as campaign dashboard and measurement, advanced modelling, data management, and global tools facilitation and application – have played a key role in attracting new clients such as Costa Cruises, RED (Xiaohongshu), and Michael Kors. “Data led solutions have become increasingly necessary in all aspects of our work with clients, and we’re proud of Wavemaker’s China’s best in class analytics and technology offer,” Domlija said. “Henry’s expertise in creating and commercialising future-ready products will be invaluable as we continue to fulfil our ambition of a prosperous future for our clients and our agency.”Wang commented, “I look forward to continue driving the vision for the Data Analytics team, while increasing my remit to also focus on larger scale efficiency and innovation for Wavemaker China, working ever closer with specialist and client teams for the benefit of clients.”
