Wall's Feast ice cream gets chased by 'Jurassic parakeet' in Unilever spot

Unilever has launched a new campaign for its Wall’s brand of ice creams, Feast in Indonesia and Top Ten in Thailand. This was done with DDB Group Singapore in collaboration with the Wall’s global team at adam&eveDDB in London, and in partnership with renowned Paris-based animation house, Wizz. The objective of the campaign is to cement Wall’s Feast as a “most loved ice cream in a market full of copy-cat products”, the statement said. Targeting younger, stressed out audiences with hectic and fast-paced lives, the campaign seeks to create a “moment of escapism”.The campaign was launched in April in Indonesia and Thailand and will run until June. Comprising of 15 second and 30 second TVCs, digital videos and in-store materials, digital and on-ground activations will also be implemented to support the campaign, which will potentially be rolled out to other markets in the region. In the spot, a single Wall’s Feast ice cream is seen seemingly befriending a parakeet, which goes on to chase it around a park in a fashion similar to that of movie Jurassic Park. Watch it here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JitB_grsOk&feature=youtu.be“Feast has been a well-loved ice cream in Indonesia and Thailand for many years. It felt like the right time to reflect its iconic status with an ad that asserts its leadership as a tasty snack, offering our consumers a delicious break from their everyday routine,” Sarah Hogan, global marketing director of Wall’s Ice Cream, said.“While our talking ice creams have been around for some time, this campaign represents the first real step into a more iconic creative world for the brand. We make a hero of a leading character in the portfolio, and use cinematic techniques to create something much more memorable and exciting,” said Simon Lloyd, interactive creative director at adam&eveDDB, said.Campaign creditsClient: UnileverBrand: Wall’sProject name: Jurassic ParakeetClient: Silvia Grattieri, brand manager Wall’s MasterbrandAndrie Kurniarahman, senior brand manager Wall’s Heartbrand/In-Home Unilever IndonesiaPailin Watanaplin, brand manager Wall’s Impulse Unilever ThailandCreative directors: Simon Lloyd (adam&eveDDB), Rodrigo Zannin (DDB Singapore)Creative Team: Josh Armstrong, Khoonkiat Liong, Felicia Roque, Megha Ramesh (DDB Singapore)Agency producer: Stephen Mead (adam&eveDDB)Planners: Sarah Carter, Charlotte Wood (adam&eveDDB), YuTing Yeo (DDB Singapore)Business directors: Chris Jackson (adam&eveDDB), NaiYen Wang (DDB Singapore)Account directors: Oliver Jones (adam&eveDDB), Jo Angeles (DDB Singapore)Account managers: Klara Pierre (adam&eveDDB), Nadiah Mohd (DDB Singapore)Production company: Friend / WizzExecutive producer (Friend): Guy RolfeExecutive producer (Wizz): Matthieu PoirierProducer: Rupert GreavesDirector: IllogicD.O.P: Pete SmithEditing Company: WizzEditor: Max DidelotPost Production: WizzPost Producer: WizzVFX Supervisor: Pierre Pilard2D Artist: Wizz3D Artist: WizzColourist: WizzMusic Supervisor: Big SyncAudio Post Production: Neon Sound SingaporeSoundtrack name and composer: Stealth Attack (Margeirsson/Cacace) & Saving The World (Jacques)
