Waggener promotes Calendrier to China vice president

Waggener Edstrom has promoted Antoine Calendrier to vice president in China, building out his general management duties to support the development and growth of the agency in China.In this newly created role Calendrier will continue to partner with Matthew Lackie, senior vice president of Waggener Edstrom Asia Pacific, to drive strategy in the fields of technology, consumer and digital.He will play a greater role in expanding Waggener Edstrom's footprint in China, as well as connecting China operations to other Asia markets where the agency operates.Calendrier told Marketing the PR firm is making inroads in the field of  storytelling, amid increasing demand for content driven campaigns."Our team has continued to develop with the arrival of senior people coming from the media (Wall Street Journal, Financial Time) as well as from leaders from our peers. We are now striking a refreshing balance of storytellers, digeratis, young and senior PR professionals," he said."As a result of our continuous investments in China, the agency has been accelerating over the last year, surprising the market with the win of important new remits for brands like Skype and Autodesk."
