Waggener appoints new GM

The ex-client services director and regional corporate practice at Waggenger Edstrom is promoted to China general manager. Antoine Calendrier (pictured) will monitor the mainland’s operations as well as provide senior client counsel while still heading up the regional corporate practice.With expertise in services, technology, FMCG, automotive, food and beverages and defense, he has taken on clients like Visa, Jetstar, Jebsen and Osram on top of advising high-profile political leaders and C-suite executives.Prior to joining Waggener Edstrom, Calendrier was head of corporate communications with Hennessy globally; he had also led EuroRSCG’s corporate and crisis communications department.“Antoine’s proven Greater China experience and global understanding of the communications industry will help drive our business in China forward,” said Matthew Lackie, Waggener Edstrom's senior vice president of Asia Pacific.“His multi-sector experience, as well as his corporate communications background and natural ability to relate to clients will be a great asset in delivering integrated communications campaigns for our clients.”“I am eager to further strengthen our existing PR consulting teams as we grow across the sectors that we are focused on this year – technology, healthcare and consumer – and continue to drive the tangible business impact that our clients have praised over the past years,” added Calendrier.
